WILLIAMSBURG — Adult recreational sports league CLUBWAKA is bringing a new Olympic Games-inspired event to Williamsburg this month.
CLUBWAKA hosts kickball, cornhole, volleyball and other social sport programming throughout Hampton Roads.
The Summer Games competition will see co-ed teams of players representing their hometowns participating in an opening ceremony and competing in a series of tournaments for summer game glory.
Sponsored by the City of Williamsburg and produced in partnership with Williamsburg’s AVAdventure Productions, the event starts at 10 a.m. July 20 at the Quarterpath Recreation Center. Event registration includes a donation to local nonprofit Here for the Girls, Inc., supporting its efforts to improve the lives of women affected by breast cancer.
The night before the games, teams are encouraged to meet their fellow competitors at a pre-game social hosted by Maria Bonita Bar & Grille, and an after-games award party will be hosted at Precarious Beer Project.
Additional details and registration are available on the event website.
