WILLIAMSBURG — The Three Jolly Coachmen’s Coffee House concert series announced that Williamsburg-based Celtic band Poisoned Dwarf will be its featured performer at its next concert on Friday, July 12.
The music starts at 7:30 p.m. in Bruton Parish Episcopal Church’s Lewis Hall, 330 W. Duke of Gloucester Street.
“Poisoned Dwarf delivers a live performance like no other,” according to Paul Vosteen of Allegheny Mountain Radio. “Whether it is the traditional tunes of Ireland and Scotland, or lesser-known Celtic music from Spain, Wales, and France — their on-stage banter and camaraderie make you feel like you are sitting in on a traditional session at your local pub and having the time of your life.”
The organizers note a portion of every Coffee House concert’s ticket sales and 100% of all drink donations are donated to a local charity. This month, the Coffee House is partnering with FISH, the volunteer-operated, nonprofit organization that provides food, clothing, and small housewares to persons in need who live in Williamsburg, James City County and York County.
The Coffee House has held 11 concerts across two seasons — 10 sellouts — donating a total of $12,400 to local charities, including the Williamsburg House of Mercy, Grove Christian Outreach Center, Meals on Wheels, SpiritWorks, and Colonial CASA.
