WILLIAMSBURG — William & Mary standout left tackle Charles Grant garnered another national honor on Tuesday, as he was selected to the Associated Press All-America Second Team.
In addition to the AP honor, Grant was also chosen as a second-team All-American by FCS Football Central.
After emerging as one of the nation’s best offensive linemen last season, Grant was even more dominant as a junior this fall and headlined one of the nation’s top offensive lines. In addition to starting all 11 games at left tackle, the two-time first-team All-CAA selection helped W&M rank 13th nationally in rushing (196.9).
Ranked as the CAA’s top tackle in pass blocking efficiency, Grant allowed just one sack on 334 pass blocking snaps and graded better than 90 percent in seven games. He finished the season grading out at 92 percent with 40 pancakes.
