
WILLIAMSBURG — The Greater Williamsburg Chamber of Commerce announced the next in its five-part speaker series “Commonwealth Conversations” will feature Carly Fiorina.
Talks in the series are held every other month. Colonial Williamsburg Foundation is the Series Sponsor, and the President of Colonial Williamsburg Foundation, Cliff Fleet, leads the discussions.
The Fiorina discussion is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, Nov. 1, starting at 8:30 a.m. Williamsburg Lodge, located at 310 S England St. in Williamsburg. Attendees will enjoy a full breakfast buffet beginning at 8:30 a.m., followed by the program.
Fiorina is the founder and chairman of Carly Fiorina Enterprises, and of Unlocking Potential, a nonprofit organization that invests in human potential by supporting local leaders who are solving problems in their communities and places of work, according to the chamber.
Fiorina also offers a leadership podcast, “By Example,” where she and her team use experiences, stories and lessons from innovators and problem-solvers to teach practical, real-world solutions to challenges many listeners face, it added.
Previously, Fiorina was Chair and CEO of Hewlett-Packard. She also serves as the Chairman of Good360, described as the world’s largest product philanthropy organization, and as Chairman of the Christian-based organization Opportunity International. She also founded the One Woman Initiative in partnership with Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice to engage and empower women in Pakistan, Egypt, India and the Philippines through increased access to economic opportunity.
Fiorina served as an advisor on John McCain’s 2006 presidential campaign, ran unsuccessfully for the United States Senate in 2010 in California and for the Republican presidential nomination in 2016.
The conversation will cover Fiorina’s career and her work on America’s 250th Celebration.
