James City County
According to James City County, county offices, facilities, services, libraries and courts will observe the following schedule for the Veterans Day holiday:
County Offices:
Closed Nov. 10 (Observed).
James City County Recreation Center and Abram Frink Jr. Community Center:
Open Nov. 10 and 11.
Parks:
All County parks are open year-round.
Park Stores and Guest Services Offices:
Open Nov. 10 and 11.
Tewning Road, Jolly Pond Road and Toano Convenience Centers:
Open Nov. 10 and 11.
Garbage Transfer Station:
Open Nov. 10 and 11.
Curbside Recycling:
No change.
Libraries:
Closed Nov. 10 (Observed), open Nov. 11.
Courts:
Closed Nov. 10 (Observed).
Williamsburg
The City of Williamsburg will observe Veterans Day on Friday, Nov. 10. All City offices will be closed. This includes the Municipal Building on Lafayette Street, and the Williamsburg-James City County Courthouse on Monticello Avenue.
Waller Mill Park will follow normal operating hours, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Quarterpath Recreation Center will open at 5 p.m. to accommodate the youth basketball program, the city said.
Garbage will be collected on its regular schedule Monday and Tuesday; recycling is not scheduled for collection. For water emergencies after hours, weekends, and holidays, call 757-220-2331. More information can be found at williamsburgva.gov/publicworks.
Those who need to pay a city bill when offices are closed can use the 24-hour bill payment drop box is located at the front of the Municipal Building, 401 Lafayette St., for city transactions. Payments can also be made online. Drop box payments made on Friday, Nov. 10 will not be posted until Monday, Nov. 13, the city said.
York County
The following York County offices will be closed Friday, Nov. 10, in observance of the Veterans Day holiday on Saturday:
