HAMPTON ROADS — Look to the skies on the peninsula this weekend, as many flight performers will be taking to the great blue yonder — Air Power over Hampton Roads is officially returning after a five-year hiatus.
The weekend air show, hosted at Joint Base Langley-Eustis, is slated for May 6 and 7. Performers scheduled to appear are the Air Combat Command F-22 demo team, the Air Combat Command F-35 demo team, Rob Holland Aerosports, Franklin’s Flying Circus, Full Throttle Formation Team, After Shock Jet Fire Truck, Warbird Thunder, Wings of Blue, F-18 Rhino Demonstration Team, Matt Younkin Airshows, U.S. Air Force Heritage Flight, and Mad Max and Little Witch P-51 demonstration.
Headlining the event are the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds.
Off-base parking opens each day at 8 a.m. Shuttles for off-base parking will be running at 8:45 a.m. All attendees must register for a parking pass in advance. Parking passes are free and must be shown upon arrival. The base will close at the conclusion of the airshow at 6:00 p.m. each day.
