WILLIAMSBURG — Riverside Doctors’ Hospital Williamsburg held a celebratory beam signing ceremony Thursday to mark a milestone in the construction progress for its new medical office building scheduled to open in Spring 2024.
Guests were provided the opportunity to sign a 33-foot-long structural beam which was placed on the northeast corner of the building on the Campus of Riverside Doctors’ Hospital Williamsburg.
“We are grateful for the hard work and dedication of our project team and leadership throughout our health system which has brought us to this milestone,” says Adria Vanhoozier, President of Riverside Doctors’ Hospital Williamsburg. “It is our hope that the new MOB will inspire and empower those from around our community to achieve their best health.”
The nearly 68,000 square-foot facility is designed to care for patients across a wide-range of specialty care needs, according to a press release, and will house more than 30 medical and surgical specialists supported by over 125 ancillary and support team members, including:
- Orthopedics
- Outpatient Rehabilitation
- Physical Therapy
- Internal Medicine
- Laboratory
- Pulmonology
- Endocrinology
- Women’s Health
- Surgical Services
“We are excited to celebrate this milestone in the construction of our new MOB (medical office building),” says Sally Ryan, Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for Riverside Medical Group. “We are one step closer to opening this state-of-the-art facility on the campus of RDHW which will further streamline the health care journey for our patients.”
Construction broke ground in August of 2022 and is currently on schedule for completion by Spring 2024.
