- Cost: Full-time (4 or 5 days) – $110/week ($105 for James City County/Williamsburg residents) includes field trip fees $10 discount available for second and subsequent children in the same family attending full time. Part-time (3 days or less) – $90/week ($85 for James City County/ Williamsburg residents) includes field trip fees.
Description
Celebrating over 30 years of providing quality summer camps offered in five Williamsburg-James City County elementary schools (Clara Byrd Baker, J.B. Blayton, Matoaka, Matthew Whaley and Norge) and one middle school (Hornsby).
*Program closed July 4 in observance of Independence Day
Registrations accepted after the deadline on a space available basis. Please allow up to seven business days from received date for processing.
Core Values and Objectives:
- Personal and Character Development: To promote an appreciation of self, family, school, community, country and the world. To enhance the development and improvement of personal and character skills such as safety, good health, respect, responsibility, caring, fairness, trustworthiness and citizenship.
- Social Development: To facilitate the development and improvement of social
skills such as acceptance of others, cooperation and conflict resolution. - FUN! To increase exposure to and knowledge of a variety of recreational and leisure activities.
Program Features: Each child will have the daily opportunity for:
- Creative Time: supervised arts and crafts, drama or music activities to promote imagination and originality.
- Play Time: active games, sports and fun fitness that help each child build knowledge, confidence and fitness levels.
- Project Time: task-oriented activities to stimulate creativity and challenge skills.
- Nutritional Time: healthy snacks, lunch and nutritional education to foster healthy choices and lifestyles.
