The Heritage Humane Society’s Spring in Bloom Auction is back and blooming bigger than ever! Now in its fifth year, this beloved virtual auction kicked off at noon on April 21 and runs through April 30. Winning is twice the fun, knowing all of the support directly helps Greater Williamsburg’s largest homeless pet shelter.
Spring in Bloom Auction Now Live with 150 Items to Bid On
Bidding is officially open and this year’s auction features 150 incredible items to browse and bid on from luxurious experiences and exclusive gift cards to themed gift baskets, fine wine, stunning art, one-of-a-kind collectibles, dazzling jewelry and more. Every item has been generously donated by individuals or businesses, ensuring that 100% of the proceeds directly benefit the animals cared for by The Heritage Humane Society.
Last year, the auction raised more than $19,000 and is organized by the HHS Auxiliary, the dynamic group of nearly 70 volunteers who work year-round to support fundraising initiatives for the shelter. With such an exciting lineup this year, The Heritage Humane Society is hoping to surpass that total in 2025. Whether shopping personally or looking to find the perfect gift, bidding in the Spring in Bloom Auction supports a life-changing mission.

How to Register and Bid in the Heritage Humane Society Auction
Bidding is as easy as it is exciting. Simply visit the Spring in Bloom auction website to register and start shopping from your phone or computer. Once registered, you can browse and bid anytime, anywhere. When the auction closes on April 30, winners will be notified via email or text.
Auction Item Pick-Up Info for Winning Bidders
All auction items must be picked up at The Heritage Humane Society adoption center on Friday, May 2, from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Shipping is not available, except for gift cards (shipping fees apply). Wine items must be picked up in person during the designated pick-up window.

Adoptable Pets are Ready to Celebrate Spring
With warmer temperatures, sunnier days and the feelings of renewal that arrive with spring, nearly 190 dogs, cats and small pets are currently in the shelter’s care and hoping to find their forever homes. Adoptable pets are available to meet during The Heritage Humane Society’s visiting and adopting hours from noon to 4:30 p.m., Tuesday through Sunday.
