This past May, the Greater Williamsburg Chamber of Commerce enjoyed connecting its members through a variety of networking events and social outings.
On May 4th, the Women’s Business Council gathered for High Tea at Spoke + Art Provisions Co. Attendees enjoyed specialty teas, fresh pastries, finger sandwiches, and more on the patio.
On May 24th, the ASPIRE Young Professionals hosted the first event in its Placemaking Series at the 1607 Grill. Guest speakers Anna Killius and Emily Hinson of the James River Association discussed the state of the James River, advocacy programs, and the new River Center coming to the area. On May 26th, Jamestowne Professional Park hosted a Business After Hours, featuring networking, live music from the band Identity Crisis, beverages from Billsburg Brewery and Williamsburg Winery, and food from the Old Chickahominy House.
Looking to the month of June, the Chamber will host two of its signature events: the Annual Meeting & Business Awards and the Chamber Challenge Golf Tournament.
The 2022 Annual Meeting and Business Awards will take place on Thursday, June 9th from 4 PM to 6 PM at Ford’s Colony Country Club. We look forward to celebrating the past year, thanking our outgoing Board members, and passing the gavel to the incoming Chair. We will also recognize several individuals and local businesses with our Business Awards, including Small Business of the Year, Early-Stage Business of the Year, Home Based Business of the Year, Membership Star of the Year, Ambassador of the Year, and Health Promotor of the Year. The Chamber Challenge Golf Tournament will take place on Thursday, June 30th at Golden Horseshoe Golf Club. Golfers will play on the Green Course with a 9 AM shotgun start.
