WILLIAMSBURG — Bricks and Minifigs — a store specializing in new and used Lego items — officially opened its doors on March 1 after a celebratory ribbon cutting Feb. 28 with the Greater Williamsburg Chamber of Commerce and James City County.
The location was first announced in October. Owner Clint Rhine Jr., a pilot with JetBlue, started this journey with a Titanic Lego set, a four-and-a-half-month project he took on with his two daughters. Since then, their collection has only grown and Rhine says the family now has a full house of Legos.
Last year, the opportunity arose for Rhine to join the Bricks & Minifigs franchise — a chance to show and share the joy and build something with the rest of the community.

Additionally, the Bricks & Minifigs is building a reading program with the local schools and aims to put together an aviation scholarship. Rhine wants to give back to the community by investing in public works programs as much as he can.
“We’re going to make this something the community can actually enjoy and keep building on it,” said Rhine during the ribbon cutting ceremony.
The store is open Monday to Thursday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. It is located at 5715 Richmond Road in the Williamsburg Premium Outlets.
