After almost 20 years, the Anheuser-Busch brewery in Williamsburg will open its doors to the public with a series of pop-up tours this summer.

The tours, which begin June 1 and will be conducted on selected weekends through Sept 2, will give guests a behind-the-scenes look at Anheuser-Busch’s brewing process, the company said. The tours will last 60 to 90 minutes and will include visits to the brewing and packaging areas as well as the lagering and finishing cellars. Guests 21 and over also will be able to sample beer directly from a finishing tank.

In addition, there will be a pop-up gift shop featuring Virginia-specific attire and other Anheuser-Busch souvenirs.

The tours are $25 for guests 21 and older and $10 for those 13-20. Children younger than 13 are not allowed on the tours.

The tours are available on a first come, first served basis and can be booked at www.budweisertours.com. Guests must wear closed-toed shoes and long pants because of safety regulations, the company said.
