“Pepperidge Farm remembers” was formerly a slogan for the baking company- and soon, the Pepperidge Farm in Williamsburg will be nothing more than a memory.

The Pepperidge Farm store in the Williamsburg Premium Outlets will soon close, according to Manager Sherry Nosaka.

Nosaka said Pepperidge Farm has been in Williamsburg since 1993— first in the Williamsburg Pottery, and then in the Premium Outlets for the last five years.

“We’ve had a good ride,” Nosaka said.

She added that Jan. 15 will be the final day of operation for the store. Signs posted on the door indicate that as part of a store closing sale, all products inside are being sold for 30 percent off their normal retail price.

Beth Toovell, Senior Communications Manager with Pepperidge Farm, said the store sold excess Pepperidge Farm products at a reduced price. It is now being closed because the company has invested in their manufacturing process, making it more efficient and leading to less company-wide excess inventory.

“It’s an outcome of continually improving our manufacturing process,” Toovell said.
