WILLIAMSBURG— Voodoo Brewing Company is the latest business to officially open its doors in Midtown Row, hosting a ribbon-cutting on Feb. 14 in celebration.

Owner, Michael Davis, opened the brew pub franchise on Aug. 30. The location in Williamsburg is only the second location in the state of Virginia, with Virginia Beach being home to the second.

Davis describes Voodoo Brewing Company as a family-friendly brew pub. The business also features a full kitchen and hosts live music throughout the week and weekend. Other events such as trivia, karaoke, and open mic nights also happen at the location.

Before becoming a franchise owner, Davis worked in the trucking industry for 36 years, owning his own company for 16. After seeking a chance, he researched the Voodoo Brewing Company and found it aligned with his vision in opening up a Brew Pub with Craft Beers and Craft Cocktails.

“Voodoo Brewing Company fits what I wanted to do, which is to have fun, socialize and bring activities to Williamsburg where everyone can come and have a good time, enjoy great food and craft-style drinks that you don’t see in other establishments,” he said in a statement to the Greater Williamsburg Chamber of Commerce.

In addition to specializing in beers, seasonal pours, cocktails, and wine, the business also features a variety of mocktails for underage individuals or those who don’t prefer alcohol.

“As a small business person, I know how tough it can be sometimes to get started,” said Williamsburg Mayor Douglas Pons, who was in attendance at the ribbon cutting alongside Vice Mayor Pat Dent and Councilwoman Barbara Ramsey. “We wish you much success in this new venture.”

Voodoo Brewing Company is open seven days a week and has daily specials for lunch. For more information, please visit the official website.
