The 2012 Williamsburg Landing 5K will be held on Saturday, September 22, at Williamsburg Landing.
All proceeds will benefit The Arc of Greater Williamsburg, a nonprofit supporting adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Teams are encouraged to register. Visit the Arc website or call 229-3535 for more information.
Community Service for Teachers
Members of the Aktion Club, a service club for adults with disabilities co-sponsored by the Kiwanis of Williamsburg and The Arc of Greater Williamsburg, recently made welcome back cards for the teachers at Community Action Agency.
The project was implemented by guest speaker, Karen Dutro, Director of Network Williamsburg, who talked about volunteer opportunities available in the community.
