WILLIAMSBURG — William & Mary men’s basketball head coach Brian Earl announced the addition of graduate transfer forward Cade Haskins (Minneapolis, Minn. / Dartmouth) to the Tribe program for the 2025-26 season.
“Cade made an impact as a near double-digit scorer in one of the top seasons in recent Dartmouth history,” Earl said. “He is a cerebral player who really understands the game and knows how to play. Cade also adds another great shooter to our roster.”
Haskins earned his degree from Dartmouth in policy philosophy, economics (PPE). He will have one year of eligibility remaining and plans to enroll in a graduate program at the prestigious Raymond A. Mason School of Business.
A 6-6 forward, Haskins was a key piece in one of the best seasons in Dartmouth history in 2024-25. The Big Green finished 14-14 overall, including a win at ACC foe Boston College, and 8-6 in the Ivy League. It marked the best season for Dartmouth both overall and in Ivy League play since 1999, and the Big Green qualified for the Ivy League Tournament for the first time, finishing third in the league standings.
Haskins averaged 9.6 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 1.8 assists per game across 26 appearances, including eight starts, in 2024-25. He was one of the top 3-point shooters in the Ivy League, connecting at a 36.6% clip from long range. He hit 67 3-pointers on the season and averaged 2.6 per game, which ranked fifth in the league. Haskins ranked among the top 100 nationally in both 3-pointers made and 3-point %.
The Minneapolis, Minn., native scored a career-high 32 points in the 2024-25 season opener against VSU-Lyndon, including hitting 8-of-12 from 3. He connected on 6-of-10 from 3-point range and finished with 18 points and eight rebounds in the win at Boston College in November. Over his Dartmouth career, Haskins averaged 6.6 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 1.3 assists per game, while shooting 35.7% (95-of-2660) from 3-point range.
Haskins becomes the second graduate transfer in the Tribe’s class along with Jo’el Emanuel (Suffern, N.Y. / Fairleigh Dickinson) and joins juniors Reese Miller (Round Rock, Texas / Blinn Community College) and Ethan Connery (Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio / Casper College) as part of the Tribe’s incoming group.
In its first season under Earl, the Tribe enjoyed one of the top turnarounds in the country, finishing with a 17-15 record. The 17 wins rank 12th in program history, while the program produced 11 CAA wins for just the fifth time. W&M debuted a new style of play featuring a fast-paced tempo, and the Green and Gold ranked among the national leaders in tempo, 3-point shooting, scoring, and assists.
