RICHMOND — William & Mary is the No. 4 seed in the 2025 Jersey Mike’s CAA Men’s Basketball Championship. The tournament will be held March 7-11 at the Care First Arena in Washington, D.C.
By virtue of securing a top-four seed, the Tribe receives a double bye into the CAA Quarterfinals, which are set for Sunday, March 9. W&M will face one of three opponents – No. 5 seed Campbell, No. 12 Delaware or No. 13 Stony Brook. The Blue Hens and Seawolves open the tournament on Friday, March 7, at 2 p.m. with the winner facing the Camels on Saturday, March 8, at 2:30 p.m. The Green and Gold draws the winner of that second-round match-up on Sunday at 2:30 p.m.
The first round, second round, and quarterfinals of the CAA Championship will be broadcast on FloCollege.
W&M finished the regular season at 17-14 overall and 11-7 in CAA play. The 17 wins rank 12th in program history and it marks just the 15th time in the 119-year history of Tribe basketball that a team reached the win total. It marks the seventh time in W&M’s 40-year history in the CAA that it achieved 11 league wins. The Tribe ranks among the national leaders in terms of overall and league record improvement from last year.
Towson won the CAA regular-season championship and is the No. 1 seed in the league tournament followed by No. 2 UNCW, and No. 3 Charleston.
The semifinal games of the CAA Men’s Basketball Championship are set for 6 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. on Monday, March 10, with the two winners facing off for the conference title and the automatic bid to the NCAA Men’s Basketball Championship at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 11. The semifinals and championship game will be televised nationally on the CBS Sports Network.
