WILLIAMSBURG — William & Mary men’s gymnastics standout freshman Connor Barrow was selected as the national specialist of the week by the College Gymnastics Association (CGA) and the NCAA following his tremendous performance in the Tribe’s impressive victory at Springfield on Sunday.
Additionally, he garnered rookie of the week and routine of the week accolades by the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC).
En route to helping W&M post a season-high team score (313.5) in the triumph, Barrow won the vault title with a school-record-tying 14.5 (when adjusted for 2025 scoring changes). Additionally, the outstanding effort ranks as the nation’s third-best score in the event this season.
The Houston, Texas native also placed third on floor with a career-best 13.75.
One of the ECAC’s top gymnasts this season, Barrow currently ranks tied for second in the league on vault (14.067) and 12th on floor (13.233).
Zachary Patrick will represent W&M at the USA Gymnastics Winter Cup in Louisville, Ky., this weekend, while the Tribe will return to action when it competes in a dual meet at Simpson on March 2.
