Williamsburg Parks and Recreation Offers Youth, Adult Tennis Programs

City of Williamsburg logoIt’s time to dust off your tennis shoes and racquet.

The Williamsburg Parks and Recreation Department is offering 13 different tennis programs for all ages and skill levels in the spring, summer and fall seasons.

The programs range from the tennis jumpstart program, which introduces children ages 4 to 7 to the game of tennis, to adult workout groups, which are for intermediate to advanced tennis players.

The registration dates and costs vary per program, though 11 programs have registrations running from late February through March.

The tennis jumpstart program, youth instructional league, quick start tennis, as well as beginner and intermediate tennis lessons cost $48 per person.

Middle school and high school freshman drills and play days cost between $200 and $240 for full sessions depending on what time of year the session is held.

For children in third through fifth grades, Spring Break Camps cost $30 per person, while those in sixth through eighth grades cost $45 per person.

Adult tennis leagues cost $40 for singles participants and $50 for doubles teams. Adult instructional clinics run $48 per person.

Adult tennis workout sessions range from $60 to $72 for four-week sessions, or a $20 to $25 drop-in fee can be paid per session for those not wanting to commit to the full four weeks.
