Warhill Triumphs During Scrappy Contest

Warhill came out on the winning end of a highly physical Bay Rivers District contest against Bruton, winning 36-25.

Both teams were allowed to play physically, with 12 total fouls being called in the game.

Warhill (12-2, 9-2 Bay Rivers District) adjusted to the physical style of play as Kasey Grainer and Kieran McClure attacked the paint for 10 and 11 points, respectively.

Bruton (5-11, 3-9) struggled to handle the interior pressure, opting instead for longer shots that did not fall. The long rebounds gave Warhill transition opportunities, and the Lions capitalized.

Kelsey Sluss led Bruton with 13 points.
