Tribe Football to Host No. 16/17 New Hampshire on Saturday

The William and Mary football team will look to remain unbeaten at home when it hosts No. 16/17 New Hampshire on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. The contest will mark the third consecutive week in which W&M has squared off against a top-20 opponent.

This Saturday’s contest will mark the 17th meeting between W&M and UNH, as the Tribe holds a 13-3 advantage in the all-time series and has won nine of the last 10 matchups. Additionally, W&M owns an 8-1 mark in contests played in Williamsburg, as UNH’s only victory came in 1998 (a 31-19 Wildcat win).

The Tribe enters this weekend’s contest with a perfect 4-0 record at home this season and has won 17 of its last 23 games played at Zable Stadium.

W&M owns one of the nation’s top defenses and currently ranks second nationally in scoring defense (14.0) and eighth in total defense (302.9).

Having won its last three games, UNH enters Saturday’s game with a 4-3 overall record and a 3-1 mark in league play. The Wildcats boast one of the league’s top offenses and currently rank second in the CAA with 35.4 points per game. However, UNH ranks 10th in the conference in total defense (434.7) and is surrendering 26.4 points per game. Sophomore quarterback Sean Goldrich leads the conference with a passing efficiency rating of 157.5, while running back Nico Steriti is averaging 83.9 rushing yards per game.
