Williamsburg Post 39 beat Hampton Post 31 in five innings Wednesday night, while Poquoson Post 273 suffered a 4-1 loss against Gloucester Post 75.

Hampden-Sydney pitcher Teddy West (2-0) won his second-straight start after yielding two hits and one run with nine strikeouts as Williamsburg Post 39 improved to 3-1 on the season with a 12-1 victory over Hampton Post 31.
Thomas Richardson had a huge night at the plate highlighted by a three-run home run that drove in three of his four RBI. Richardson (1-1) also walked twice and scored three runs. Mikey Anerton (2-2) scored a pair of runs for Post 39, which takes on Denbigh Post 368 on Thursday at home.
Gloucester Post 75 4 Poquoson Post 273 1
Tim Leavey recorded the only base hit of the night for Poquoson Post 273 in a 4-1 loss that ended in the sixth inning because of lightning.
Dylan Bartells walked and later scored Post 273’s lone run on a wild pitch in the top of the sixth inning. Post 273 dropped to 0-3 on the season with loss.
