In the only local contest not rained out Monday, Grafton’s boys soccer team earned a 5-1 home victory over Poquoson at Bailey Field.

Aaron Kaye and Dylan MacNamara scored two goals apiece to lead Grafton (4-0-2, 1-0 Bay Rivers) past visiting Poquoson in the Bay Rivers District opener for both teams. Dom DiGangi assisted two of the scores and Nick Dey added one goal and one assist for the Clippers, who travel to play at New Kent on Thursday.
Weather Again Disrupting Prep Schedule
It looks like weather will play a factor in the local sports schedule for the third-consecutive week.
Tuesday’s Lafayette vs. Warhill baseball and softball games have already been canceled, and many others are expected to follow suit.
