Sydney J. Brooks was born on January 15, 1941, at the Lying-In Hospital in Providence, Rhode Island.
Throughout her life, she was a woman of deep Christian faith whose greatest passion was sharing the Gospel with others. She devoted many years to studying Scripture, serving through her church, and speaking to others about her faith. She found joy in caring for those who were ill and in offering encouragement to people she met.
Sydney appreciated beauty in everyday life. She loved decorating, had a passion for fashion, and enjoyed dressing with elegance. She had a remarkable green thumb and took great pride in caring for her plants and flowers. She also had a lifelong love for animals, especially her dogs and cats, which were faithful companions throughout the years.
Sydney was preceded in death by her father Raymond Conde; mother Gladys L. Conde-Smith; brothers Robert Conde, Richard Conde, and Ronald Conde.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Kathleen Clark, David Barry, Keven Barry, Shawn Haseltine, Rachel Tullier, and Stephen Barry and her sister, Joan Bevers. She has 18 grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren.
Sydney’s life touched many through her faith, her interests, and the relationships she built within her church community. She will be remembered by those whose lives she influenced and by her family, who wish her eternal peace.
