A true lover of rock music, he held a special place in his heart for bands like Van Halen, and in recent years, he developed an appreciation for older country tunes. A supporter of the Raiders, David was a proud member of the local Raider’s Football Club, where he shared his enthusiasm for the game with fellow fans.
A graduate of New Kent High School, class of 1988, David was known for his kind and generous spirit, though he was also remembered fondly for his stubborn determination. He cherished his family and friends deeply, always making time for those he loved. His two beloved dogs, Jasmine and Hankey, were constant companions who brought him great joy.
David is preceded in death by all his grandparents, whose memories he held dear. He is survived by his loving parents, Ernest Delafosse Jr. and Nancy Prest Delafosse, his step-daughter Katie Knill (Patrick), a host of cousins, and many, many friends who will miss him dearly.

David’s memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him, as a testament to a life well-lived and a spirit that will never be forgotten.
