Ann Patricia Lysenko, age 90, left this world to be with God in Heaven on March 2, 2026, in the comfort of her own home.
Ann was predeceased by her parents Anna and Nicholas Lombardi and her husband Robert Lysenko.
Ann is survived by her loving children Patricia, Janice and Christopher and his wife Faye; her sister Angela Miklos, her nephew Thomas, his wife Catherine, and their children Gabi and Caitlyn, as well as several dear friends.
After taking early retirement from Union Carbide where she was a Fleet Administrator, Ann and Bob traveled both domestically and internationally, before settling in Williamsburg. They were the first to build in Powhatan Secondary, quickly becoming active members of the community. For several years they volunteered at St. Olaf’s church, were members of the Italian American club, and were ushers at the Kimball Theater, while honing their knowledge of historical Williamsburg by taking courses at William & Mary College.
Ann volunteered at the Sentara Hospital gift shop, attended bridge clubs, made monthly donations to the Food Bank with Powhatan Secondary neighbors, as well as donating to The House of Mercy and Habitat for Humanity. Ann was an active member of the Williamsburg Women’s Club, where she served as Vice President up until her passing.
Ann was proud of her three children and loved them dearly. She now lives in all our hearts.
She touched a lot of people in the community and everyone remembers her with a smile. She believed in the power of prayer and cared most about helping people in need. She would want to be honored by your acts of kindness and service to others.
