Jason Robert Alford, 51, of New Kent County, Virginia, entered eternal rest on February 22, 2026.

Born to Anna Marie Harston and Joseph Carl Alford. Jason was preceded in death by Joseph Carl Alford and Eilleen Harston. Jason was born in Honolulu Hawaii before being raised in Bowling Green Kentucky then moving to Richmond Virginia where he built his life around faith, family, and hard work. He graduated from Henrico High School, Class of 1993, and later attended Richmond Technical Center, where he trained to become an electrician. Jason went on to build a respected career in the electrical trade, known for his skill, dedication, and strong work ethic.

Jason was the husband to his beloved wife, Lisa Marie Alford. Together they built a family that was the center of his world. He was a proud and loving father to Tyler James Alford (Megan), Shannon Lynn Alford, Brittany Louise Harrison (Xavier), and Joshua Robert Alford. His greatest joy came from being “Papa” to his cherished grandchildren: Jonah Garrett, Finn Alford, Cody Alford, Mason Alford, Kaysen Alford, Kyree Harrison, Isla Harrison, Ryleigh Alford and Brantley Jacobsen.

He is also survived by his loving mother, Anna Marie Harston; his sister, Tammie Alford; and his brother, Joseph Pope; nieces, Raylan Adamson, Shyanne Pope; nephews, Cody Burnette, Kaylen Burnette, Jaxon Pope; great-nephew, Gabe Burnette; and numerous friends and loved ones.

Outside of work, Jason had a passion for racing, football, wrestling, and cars. He loved the thrill of the track, the excitement of a good game, and could often be found talking about engines, horsepower, and classic vehicles. His interests were more than hobbies—they were part of the vibrant spirit that made him who he was.

Jason will be remembered for his strength, his loyalty to those he loved, and the pride he took in providing for his family. His presence filled every room with warmth and determination, and his legacy lives on through his children and grandchildren.

He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved him.

“Your life was a blessing, your memory a treasure. You are loved beyond words and missed beyond measure.”

“Those we love don’t go away. They walk beside us every day. Unseen, unheard, but always near. Still loved, still missed and forever dear.”
