Nellie Wayne Walton, 77, of Gloucester, VA passed away January 1, 2026.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James Marvin Walton and Emily West Walton of Gloucester; her brothers, Lawrence “Buck” Walton of Gloucester, Alfred “Bubba Al” Hogge of Gloucester, James “J.T.” Walton (Judy) of West Point, and Gene Walton of Charlottesville; nephew, Billy Walton of Gloucester; niece, Janet Lynn Horsley of Gloucester; and great niece, Krista Greggs of West Point.
She is survived by her nieces, Sue Greggs (Artie) of West Point, Rita Fogg (Roger) of Aylett, Jill Collier (Wilmer) of Barboursville, Carla Perry (Eddie) of Chesapeake, Angela Horsley of Gloucester, Ginny Perry of Chesapeake, Grace Perry of Chesapeake; nephews, Brian Walton (Tammy) of Palmyra, Brandon Boswell (Marshie) of Richmond, Jacob Greggs of West Point, Billy Morrison of Chesapeake; great nieces, Sabrina Johnson (Aaron) of Barboursville, Bridgit Collier of Richmond, Kimberly Waggoner of Ruckersville, Jada Greggs of West Point; sister-in-laws, Janice Walton of Ocala, Florida and Emma Walton of Gloucester; three great-great nieces and her beloved dogs.
Nellie enjoyed a long career with the City of Hampton. She loved her animals and playing bingo. She loved and was very much loved. She will be greatly missed by all that knew her.
The family will have a celebration of life in the spring.
