Born in Denver, Colorado, Bennie was known to those close to him as intelligent, sweet, and genuinely kind. He carried a thoughtful nature and a gentle presence, often marked by inquisitive ideas and personable conversations. Though his life was not without struggle, he valued his relationships with those around him, even when his actions at times shown otherwise.

He is survived by his maternal grandfather Greg Coln and wife Mary; his aunts, Nicole Gunther and Ashlee Panko (Lynn); and his cousins, Paige Gunther, Harper Panko, Bligh Panko, and Bannock Panko. A memorial service will take place on Saturday, January 3, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, Chesapeake Chapel, located at 929 S. Battlefield Blvd. The service will be livestreamed for those unable to attend in person.
