Derrick Fabian Washington, Sr., aged 58, passed away on October 23, 2025, in Virginia.
Born on May 16, 1967, in New York, Derrick was a man deeply cherished by his family and friends.
A dedicated professional, Derrick worked for Ingalls Shipbuilding as a Crane Walker, where he was known for his hard work and commitment. Outside of his career, Derrick’s passions included sports, and he was an avid fan of the New York Giants and the New York Knicks. His love for sports was only surpassed by his love for his family, whom he held close to his heart.
Derrick was preceded in death by his parents, Theodore and Parthenia Washington. He is survived by his son, Derrick F. Washington, Jr.; his brother, Michael Washington, Sr.; and his beloved grandson, Darean Fabian Washington. Derrick’s presence will be sorely missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
