Ruth Carlton Hooper, 87, of West Point, VA passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Monday, August 25, 2025.
She dedicated her life to caring for family and creating a loving home. She was a talented seamstress with a style and flair all her own.
Ruth was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, William “Tommy” Hooper; a sister, Elizabeth Panak; and her brother, William Roger Carlton.
She is survived by two daughters, Sharon Minor and her husband, Bill, and Becky Seckora and her husband, Damian; three grandchildren, Katherine (Anthony), Michael and Joseph; and three great-grandchildren, Colin, Carson and Cayleigh; three sisters-in-law, Pat Carlton, Jeanette Hogge and her husband, Larry, as well as Shirley Perrin; and a brother-in-law, Herbert Hooper and his wife, Holly.
Memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of Hope,13700 N. Gayton Road, Henrico, VA 23233 where Ruth resided the last three years.
