Quamere J. Walden, 34, of Hampton

Quamere J. Walden (Altmeyer Funeral Home)

Quamere J. Walden, born on February 4, 1991, in New Jersey, passed away on June 23, 2025, in Hampton, VA, at the age of 34.

Quamere spent his early years in New Jersey, where he was born and raised until November 2000, when he and his family moved to Virginia. As a child, Quamere’s imagination was captured by the adventures of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and the Power Rangers. He was known for dressing up as a Power Ranger every Halloween, a tradition he cherished so much that he often wished he could wear his costume all year round.

His love for martial arts followed him into adulthood, with Bruce Lee being a particular inspiration. Quamere enjoyed watching anime, with Naruto and Dragon Ball Z being among his favorites. A true fan of Michael Jackson, he would light up any room with his dance moves, especially when “Beat It” came on.

Quamere is preceded in death by his maternal great-grandmother, his maternal grandfather James Walden Jr., and his beloved dog Cassidy. He leaves behind a loving family: his mother Nicole Walden-Odom; sister Tahirah Holloway and her husband Mario, and step-sister Mary Odom; and brothers Tyreme Walden, Samere Walden, Michael Flowers, and Larry Odom Jr. Also mourning his loss are his cherished “Mom-mom and Pop-pop,” Aunt Jackie, and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Quamere will be remembered for his vibrant spirit, his love for action-packed stories, and his ability to bring joy to those around him.

Details regarding the memorial service will be announced at a later date.
