Betty Alice Eason, 91, on May 9, 2025 departed this life to be “With her Lord.”
She was born in Norfolk, Virginia on October 15, 1933 to Marvin and Ethel Conner. She loved Jesus with all her heart and loved her family so much. She took care of everyone, and shared the path to salvation with anyone she met so we all could be in Heaven together.
She loved singing and listening to gospel music, reading her bible, watching her worships services on television, shopping and spending time with her family, yard sales, antique malls, time in the Blue Ridge Mountains from Virginia to North Carolina. She lived a long full life for God’s purposes. She is home in Heaven.
She is survived by her three children, Roger D. Evans, Milton Eason, Jr. (wife, Vickie) and Carol Buddenhagen; three grandchildren, Stephanie Adcock (husband, Elvis), Krystal Hancock Posey and Mackinna Gallagher (husband, Danny); and eight great-grandchildren, Addison Hancock, Danny Gallagher, Jr., Makayla Adcock, Aiden Hancock, Rayne Gallagher, Lucas Gallagher, Kade Posey and Noel Gallagher; her favorite aunt Jean Lassiter; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Gurney Milton Eason, Sr.; daughter, Debbie Eason Jorgensen and unborn son; four sisters, Helen Swimm, Joyce Benners, Janice Darlene Blihar and Shirley Ritter; and her other favorite aunt “Big” Betty Doll.
We are grateful to her special caregiver, Nina…to the “Moon and Back,” and all the caregivers at Care with Empthany, especially Jay, and the hospice nurses and aides. They all cared for our mother and grandmother with love, respect and dignity.
