Virginia Mae Burdine, age 83, of Williamsburg, Virginia passed away on Thursday, February 6, 2025. She was born in Fayetteville, North Carolina.
Virginia loved animals and her family, especially her grandkids and great-grandkids. She enjoyed decorating, traveling, and casinos.
She is survived by her daughters, Laura Marie Brewington (Michael) and Rebecca Leann Pate (Craig); grandchildren, Christina, Kimberly, Jessica, Jacob, Elizabeth, Robert, Andrew, Alexandra, and Braxton; great-grandchildren, Mallory, Connor Charlotte, Cameron, Bennett, Piper, Adeline, Jackson, and Caiden; brother, David Earl Thompson; nephews, Dave and Steve; and niece, Michelle.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Rebecca M. Mallory Causey and James Donald Thompson; husband, William John Burdine; brother, Donald Ray Thompson; and David’s wife, her sister-in-law, Leanna Thompson.
A service for Virginia will be held Friday, February 14, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Nelsen Funeral Home, 3785 Strawberry Plains Rd., Williamsburg, Virginia 23188. Following the service will be a burial at 2:00 PM at Cedar Grove Cemetery, 809 South Henry Street, Williamsburg, Virginia.
