Linda “Sue” Reedy Plunkett, 74, of Williamsburg, VA passed away peacefully February 26, 2024 with family by her side.
Born and raised in Roanoke, VA, the family relocated to Newport News before settling in Williamsburg, where she resided for the last 20 years.
Sue was a devoted mother and grandmother, affectionately known as “Granny” to her beloved grandchildren. She found true joy in caring for her family, attending her grandchildren’s activities and creating lasting memories with them. Sue especially loved family vacations to Duck, NC.
Sue is preceded in death by her husband David, her parents, Norman “Bud” Reedy and Geraldine Wheeler, as well as her brothers, Normie and Davey Reedy, and her parents-in-law, Henry Baswell Sr. and Mary Elizabeth Plunkett.
Surviving family members who will always cherish Sue’s memory include her children: Trish Reeher, Leigh Anne Golub (David), Craig Plunkett and Christopher Plunkett (Kelly). Her grandchildren, Carson Cook (Daniel), Addyson Reeher, Joshua and Jacob Golub; Steven, Richard, Natalie, and Carolyn Plunkett; her brother Rickey Reedy (Julie); brothers-in-law Wayne, Henry Jr. (Jane), and Donnie (Patricia) Plunkett; aunt Ruth “Peggie” Shelor Rusmisel along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family.
A private family service will be held to honor Sue’s life.
In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made to a trust to care for her son Craig.
