Jacqualine (Jay, Jackie) Wendy Blair left this earthly life on January 29, 2024.
Born in Cobar, NSW Australia, on January 6, 1939, Jaqualine grew up in Bathurst, NSW, and lived in Sydney as a young adult. While in Sydney, she was a fashion designer in her mother and stepfather’s sewing factory.
Jackie would meet her future husband, John, while he was on R&R during the Vietnam War, and eventually followed him to the United States where they were married in 1969. She was proud to become a naturalized citizen in 1977.
Jacqualine had three children and would say they were her greatest accomplishments, she was so proud of each one. While raising Shannon (M. Nelson Metheny), Kimberly (Eric Wolfe), and Mitchell (Kristina), Jaqualine maintained her skills in sewing, crocheting, and knitting, keeping her daughters in beautiful dresses and sweaters.
Gardening was another passion of Jacqualine’s, and she excelled at this as well. Jacqualine worked different jobs until she found her calling working in hospitals and skilled nursing facilities first as a CNA and later as a Med Tech. Jacqualine was a caregiver all her life, even recently crocheting animals to donate to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. Jacqualine was a true lady of style and substance.
Preceding Jacqualine were her brother-in-law Kenneth Bradshaw, son-in-law Stanley Todd, and mother, Rona Mason Lange.
Along with her three children, Jacqualine leaves behind her sisters Rhona Bradshaw and Robyn (Colin) Whitehead, her seven grandchildren Jessica Todd-Snyder (John) Guidry, Elizabeth Grace Snyder, Haley, Paige, and Christian Wolfe, and Charles and Samuel Blair, as well as many nieces and nephews, to mourn her passing.
