Travis E. Banks was born on September 27, 1985, the son of Virginia Banks and Bobby Stringfield in Southampton County, Virginia. His earthly assignment transitioned into eternal rest on Wednesday, December 14, 2022, in Williamsburg.
“Duke,” as he was affectionately called, was educated at Ivor Elementary School in Ivor, York High School in Yorktown, and graduated from Denbigh High School, Newport News, in 2005. He was employed at Cracker Barrell Restaurant, Food Lion, and the College of William & Mary.
He leaves to cherish fond memories, his wife, Jennifer B. Banks; sons, Trayvon Banks and Jaylun Davis; daughters, Aaliyah Banks and Sariah Banks; sister, Sherita Stringfield; two aunts, Louise Dennis and Mary Banks; six uncles, Robert Lee Banks (Judy), Michael Stringfield (Mary), Charles Stringfield, Anthony Stringfield (Akira), Calvin Stringfield, and Jason Stringfield; and a host of cousins, other relatives, and friends.
Mr. Banks may be viewed on Wednesday, December 21, 2022, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home. The family will receive friends during that time. Facial coverings are required.
