NEWPORT NEWS — Mary Brandt Edwards, 93, passed away on Sunday, March 6, 2022. She was a lifelong resident of the Peninsula. Mary retired in 1994 as a purchasing agent at Ft. Eustis with 47 years of service. She was a member of Smith Memorial Baptist Church for 50 years.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband, James David Edwards and her grandson, Jason Daniel Edwards. She is survived by her son, James Daniel Edwards; her daughters, Vickie E. Pollock and Tanya Mae Edwards; her four grandchildren, Shelley Bordner, Austin Spangler, Logan David Edwards, Jesse Edwards; three great-grandchildren, Kinsley Bordner, Bristol Bordner, Cameron Bordner; and her sister, Emma McGee.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. on Friday, March 11, 2022 at Weymouth Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be conducted at 12 p.m. by Rev. John Jicka at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Peninsula Memorial Park. Arrangements are by Weymouth Funeral Home.
