Kathy Irene McLawhorn, 61, of Virginia Beach, passed away Tuesday, April 16, 2019. Born in Illinois, she was a retail manager for Stride Rite.
Kathy was preceded in death by her father, James Thomas Gilpatrick Jr.; fiancé, Thomas Longmore; and son, Timothy Longmore.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Janet Eisenberg (Adam); son, Michael Longmore (Alanna); mother, Helen Sawyer Gilpatrick; two siblings, Jim Gilpatrick and Lori Goode (Allen); and six grandchildren, Alexander Hill, Kara Longmore, Max Eisenberg, Tyler Longmore, Emma Longmore and Justin Longmore.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, April 22, at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Lynnhaven Chapel. A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, April 23, at Colonial Grove Memorial Park.
