Patricia Moore “Trish” Dozier, 71, resident of Virginia Beach, and formerly of Norfolk, passed away Saturday, Jan. 27, 2018, at River Pointe Nursing Home.
Trish was born on March 22, 1946, at Depaul Hospital and was raised in Norfolk, Va. She graduated from Norfolk Catholic in 1964. Trish was a bus driver for Norfolk Public Schools before she started working in civil service at the Naval Station Norfolk in Fleet Accounting, from where she retired.
Trish was a wonderful and attentive mother to both of her sons and grandchildren. She was very much loved by her nieces and nephews. Trish had a very infectious laugh that would draw you in from another room and on the weekends you would always find her out traveling with her beloved husband.
Trish will be sadly missed by her sons, Eugene D. Dozier Jr., and his wife, Diane Dozier, Gregory C.B. Dozier Sr., and his wife, Mary E. Dozier; grandchildren, Gregory C.B. Dozier Jr., Megan E. Dozier, Robert E. Dozier and Nora E. Brooks; sister, Mary Anne Hoofnagle, and her husband, Charles Hoofnagle; former daughter-in-law, Paula Dozier; and many nieces and nephews.
Trish was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene D. Dozier Sr.; mother, Mary F. Kelly; father, Joseph H. Moore; and brother, Joseph K. Moore.
A Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 10, at Christ the King Catholic Church, 1803 Columbia Ave., Norfolk.
