Larry Smith, 65, passed away Monday, Feb. 5, 2018. He was born March 26, 1952, to the late Evelyn and Walter Smith Sr. in Virginia Beach.
He was a graduate of Kempsville High School. Larry retired from the City of Norfolk as a heavy equipment operator in 2002. He was a member of True Love Church.
He is survived by four sons, Eric, Larry, Leon and LaQuinta Johnson; 12 siblings, Shirley, Linda, Elizabeth, Verdell, Deloris, Evelyn, Matilda, Jerry, Alphonso, Joseph, Andy and Walter Jr.; former wife, Patricia Johnson; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m., Friday, Feb. 9, at
Beach Funeral & Cremation Services Inc., 4456 Bonney Road
Virginia Beach. A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday
Feb. 10, at New Mt. Olive Baptist Church, 662 Fernwood Farms Road, Chesapeake. Burial will follow services at 1 p.m. in Roosevelt Memorial Park, 1101 Campostella Road, Chesapeake.
