David Stuart Thompson, 35, owned Mona Lisa’s restaurant for many years

David Stuart Thompson, 35, passed away peacefully with his loved ones by his side, Wednesday, Aug. 30, 2017.

He was the owner of Mona Lisa’s restaurant for many years and worked at Norfolk Naval Shipyard.

He is survived by his wife, Eliza Thompson; four children, Corban Thompson, Isaac Thompson, Nalani Thompson and Asia Stewart; father, Michael Thompson; mother, Hui Thompson; sister, Diana Thompson; two half-siblings, Michael and Pei Pei Hughes; and a large in-law family as well as nieces and nephews.

David loved fishing, remodeling, and most of all, his children. He was a tall, stately man with a kind heart and a vivacious smile. He will be missed by many, especially his family and friends.

There will be a receiving of flowers and donations and memorial service held at 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 7, at Victory Baptist Church, 4125 Indian River Road, Virginia Beach.
