Mary Elizabeth Peterson, 83, peacefully went to be with the Lord, Monday, April 18, 2016. She was born in Norfolk and was a member of St. Andrews Methodist Church in Virginia Beach.
She was predeceased by her loving husband, Dale R. Peterson; along with her youngest son, David Peterson; and daughter, Lori Alverio.
She is survived by her eldest daughter, Kathy Nemetz of Virginia Beach; son, Roger Peterson, and his wife, Tammy Gilbreath, of Virginia Beach; and host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
A visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 21, at Beach Funeral & Cremation Services Inc. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 22, at St. Andrews Methodist Church, Virginia Beach.
