
Cornelius ‘Connie’ E. Lee, 75, went to be with the Lord on Friday, February 26, 2016. He was preceded in death by his wife, Concetta; and son-in-law, Kriss L. Truelove Sr.
‘Connie’ retired from the U.S. Navy after serving 22 years as a musician in the Naval Marching Band and in the School of Music. He also retired from the Virginia Department of Taxation. He was a longtime member of St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church and their choir. He was a loving, giving and caring man that loved life, his family and making people smile with his humor.
Left to cherish his memory are his son, John Lee; daughter, Helen Truelove; grandchildren, Jennifer Lee Bourgeois and husband André, Jacklyn E. Truelove and Kriss L. Truelove Jr.; brothers, Ronnie (Rheba), Michael (Joy) and Orin (Susan); and many nieces, nephews, and loving family members.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, March 1, at Rosewood-Kellum Funeral Home. A funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 2, at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church in Virginia Beach with burial to follow in Rosewood Memorial Park.
