Want to host a reunion in Newport News? The city has you covered

NEWPORT NEWS — The city tourism staff is offering free help in setting up reunions for residents.

The tourism office will help set up hotel requests for groups, provide contacts for unique venues, hotels, picnic shelters, caterers, plan itineraries so guests can make the most of area attractions and assemble free welcome bags for those staying in Newport News hotels.

The service is free and available by calling the Newport News Visitor Center at 757-886-7777.

The center will also assist residents with finding attractions through Group Planner, a comphensive pamphlet full of detailed information about attractions, transportation, historic sites and annual events in the city, according to a news release.
