JCC Police Searching For Man Involved in Fatal Shooting

UPDATE: Travis Lamar Bradsher, the man wanted in connection with a shooting death in James City County on Satuday morning, June 19, has been arrested in Winston Salem, N.C., Stephanie Williams, of the James City County Police, said.

JAMES CITY COUNTY — James City County Police is searching for a man responsible for fatally shooting another man in Williamsburg on Saturday, June 19.

At approximately 7:30 a.m., James City County Police Department and Fire Department responded to the 1800 block of Ferrell Drive.

Upon arrival, officers located a 29-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

30-year-old Travis Lamar Bradsher of Newport News is wanted in connection for the killing. Active warrants are out for Bradsher for Felony Murder, Breaking & Entering with the Intent to Commit a Felony-Murder and Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony.

JCC Police say that Bradsher’s last known address is on South Drive in Newport News.

The deceased man was taken to the Tidewater Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.

The homicide remains under investigation at this time.
