Hamilton Park Limited Partnership bought the Courthouse Commons Shopping Center recently. The purchase was announced Tuesday on the Harvey Lindsay Commercial Real Estate Facebook page.

“Congratulations to our Newport News team on a great Sale!,” the post read.

The shopping center, 5223-5239 Monticello Ave., is approximately 48,560 square feet and is anchored by Fresh Market, according to the Harvey Lindsey Commercial Real Estate news release.

Other tenants include The Prescription Shoppe, Pure Barre and Starbucks.

Michael Allen and Clark Baldwill brokered the deal between New Town Six LLC and Hamilton Park, an investment group from Baltimore who own and operate many grocery shopping centers.

Allen said in an interview the investment group was attracted to the shopping center because it was nearly full and it has unusually high rent for the area.

It’s unclear what the Baltimore group has planned for the area.

WYDaily reached out to Adam Kaftol at Hamilton Park Limited Partnership who was not immediately available for comment.
