Calling all soccer players. Registration is now open for York County’s Parks, Recreation and Tourism youth soccer programs.
According to a news release from the county, the registration period will run from now until Aug. 12 and practices will begin Sept. 10.
The registration fees for York County residents are $55 per child and $50 for each additional child per family. Residents of neighboring jurisdictions will be charged a $90 registration fee.
Families can register online at https://recreation.yorkcounty.gov/ or in person by visiting the county’s Parks, Recreation and Tourism office at 100 County Drive in Yorktown, Monday through Friday from 8:15 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Registration will also be accepted via mail, by sending a completed registration form for each participant and a check made payable to “Treasurer, County of York” to York County Parks, Recreation and Tourism, P.O. Box 532, Yorktown, VA 23690. Registrations should be postmarked no later than Aug. 12.
