Update 1:07 a.m.: A married couple was found dead inside a home on the 300 block of Monument Court, investigators said.
Deputies from the York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office found a man and a woman dead of apparent gunshot wounds inside the house, Deputy Mike Russell said in a news release.
YPSO is not releasing the identities of the deceased until notification has been made to the families.
Russell said investigators are not searching for a suspect related to the incident, nor is there a threat to the community.
Authorities are waiting on results from the autopsies before releasing more information about the deaths, Russell said.

The York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office is investigating a reported shooting Sunday evening in the Coventry area of York County.
Investigators arrived at the 300 block of Monument Court in the Tabb area of Yorktown after a call to dispatch reported a shooting around 6:30 p.m. Sunday.
Deputy Mike Russell, a spokesperson for YPSO, said investigators are not searching for a suspect and could not confirm whether a shooting occurred.
Russell said there is no apparent threat to the community and would not confirm whether anyone was injured. He declined to provide more details about the incident.
