WILLIAMSBURG — Cushman & Wakefield | Thalhimer announced the former Yankee Candle property located at 2200 Richmond Road in Williamsburg has been sold to Uptown Alley.
Uptown Alley , LLC purchased the 64,000 square foot mixed-use property, situated on six acres, from Fulton Bank for $4 million, according to Cushman & Wakefield | Thalhimer.
Uptown Alley plans to open its fifth family-friendly entertainment center at the location in 2023. Plans call for a multi-level entertainment venue featuring upscale bowling, duckpin bowling, an arcade, a chef-driven restaurant, and the latest in audio/video technology.
Williamsburg City Council unanimously voted to award a revenue-sharing incentive to Uptown Alley in November. The performance-based revenue sharing agreement grants a percentage of the taxes that Uptown Alley will pay to the city over a five-year period. Capped at $600,000, it will be used for exterior improvements to modernize the building.
Dawn F. Griggs, SIOR and Rob Wright of Cushman & Wakefield | Thalhimer handled the sale negotiations on behalf of the seller.
